2000 Vignale Coupe

The 2000 Vignale Coupe was built between 1958 and 1961 as series 102.02.The following classification is a try to separate between the diverse variants and lists changes from the preceding model. It is however not quite exact as there seem to be e.g. trim changes from model to model.

Description	general Geneva 59:  roof and C-pillars in dark colour
	front Scudetto and side grilles separated Scudetto from 2000 Spider one-piece bumper straight bumper overriders
	side no upper air vent upper chrome strip from front to rear Variant: double chrome strip (09) turn indicators from Spider, but integrated in chrome strip Vignale logo between door and rear wheel “gills” (lower air vent) similar to Spider but different shape
	rear vertical rearlight housing (01, 09) similar to Lancia Flaminia or Florida

	rear trunk lid set a bit higher than on type 2, i.e. fins not as high as previously no bumper overriders below rear lights (30)

Description	front larger, bent grille side grilles separated from „scudetto“ consisting of horizontal chrome strips which extend under headlights double headlights in „rounded, horizontal rectangle“ one-piece bumper turn indicators on bumper no scoops on hood

	rear modified rear with trunk lid on the same level as fenders, no fins

The following list shows the chassis known to the author.

• type: refers to the classification above
• chassis: unknown means that the car exists today,but the chassis number is not known; ? means that the car seems to be different from the surviving examples, but might also be one of them.
• current owner: name of the owner is known to me, but i don't publsih the name here

Details

On the rear fenders a logo in form of a pair of crossed flags were used. There are the following variants:

• blue with white cross - white with red cross
• blue with white square - white with red cross
• Italian flag - black/white chequered flag

A few questions:

• Does anybody know the meaning of the flags?
• Which flags were used for which model?
